5K, Ride & Family Fun Event!
Saturday, August 3rd, 2024 – Allegan Sports Complex
Are you ready for a day full of fun to make a direct impact in your community? This is your event.
Safe Harbor Children’s Advocacy Center hosts their annual Badges and Bravery 5K to bring awareness and raise money for the kids in Allegan, Barry, and Van Buren Counties. This year we are happy to incorporate new ways to join in now with three distance bike rides and a kids fun run! At the event all types of heroes will run and ride together to provide hope and healing to children in the community.
After your race, join us for food and refreshments. Family fun for all ages!
All proceeds from the event will provide a lifeline to victims of child abuse and neglect.
Your registration includes sign up fee and a finishing medal. T-Shirts available for purchase through the below registration pages.

This is your chance to lace up your sneakers, don your cape, and step into the shoes of your favorite hero. Whether you’re a fan of classic superheroes, modern-day icons, or our real-life heroes, we’ll have a super time together.

Day 3
Day 3 is underway! Today’s plan is to bike to Oconto WI, just north of Green Bay.
Day 4
Joe, Steve, and Rob continue their distance ride to support Safe Harbor making their way from Oconto to Escanaba Michigan! Safe travels for Day 4!!
Day 5
They are off for Biking for Kids Day 5! Today Rob, Joe, and Steve will be cycling from Escanaba to Blaney Park Michigan. We’d love to give a special thank you to Ross and Andrea Menhart, owners The Celibeth House Bed & Breakfast , in their donation of hosting these cyclists for the night! This couple have been long time supporters having ridden with this group on their Bridge ride in the past. Days 6-7
Over the weekend, Rob, Joe and Steve rode to the Mackinaw Bridge and Elk Rapids. Thank you for following along on their incredible journey around Lake Michigan.

Ride Finished!
These cyclists were so great we were able to welcome them home early. After rain, sun, and lots of peddling they have finished their journey! Thank you again for your dedication to Safe Harbor and children in our community. If you see them around town recovering be sure to get them a drink.
