Providing Safe Harbor

Light the Way this Holiday Season!

Help light the way to a future of hope and healing by donating to Safe Harbor’s Capital Campaign. So far this year we have been able to raise $396,785 putting us at 45% of the way toward our goal. In 2021 we hope to reach our $850,000 goal to begin our building process. We need your help to create a space where more children can find the hope, help, and healing they need.

2020 CARES ACT Tax Deduction

The CARES Act has instituted a provision allowing people to deduct $300 for charitable contributions. If you are married and filing jointly, your deduction is still limited to $300. Taxpayers can take this universal deduction no matter whether they itemize or take the standard deduction on their taxes. Deductions under the CARES Act must be in cash (including checks and credit card payments) and given to a 501(c)(3) organization. The CARES Act has also increased the amounts of annual charitable deductions for corporations from 10% of taxable income to 25%.

About Safe Harbor

Our vision is a community where all children are safe from abuse and neglect, where citizens are educated about and dedicated to protecting children.

We have 4 key values that we believe support our vision:

  • Children have the right to be heard, nurtured, protected, and supported.
  • Education is essential to prevent child abuse and neglect.
  • Child abuse affects the entire community and thus requires the entire community to eradicate it.
  • Dedicated employees and volunteers are valued and are the key to our success.
